Waste Water Treatment Plant
IPAL (Waste Water Treatment Installation) is a hospital liquid waste processing system designed based on the characteristics of liquid waste entering from several sources of waste output. Hospital liquid waste is all liquid waste originating from hospitals which may contain micro-organisms, toxic chemicals and radioactivity. If contaminated materials such as bed pens, dressings, are not handled properly during the collection process, room contamination can occur directly or via aerosols. Likewise, splashes from flushing toilets can contaminate floors and walls, which then through evaporation will be carried into the room air, so it is highly recommended that waste water from hospitals be treated before being discharged into water bodies.
